#26. The Antiquary, 72-78 St Stephen St, Edinburgh
A cellar bar along our scenic route to Stockbridge, The Antiquary was fun. The fact that dogs are allowed in the pub was probably responsible for the jovial atmosphere. That, and a local company had organized a treasure hunt pub crawl through the pubs of Stockbridge. Our table was located next to an old photograph of a military band, and teams of contestants kept coming by to count the number of people in the photo.
The tap selection was minimal, but did feature a Young Pretender from Isle of Skye. I really wanted to like this beer, but I found it a tad too hoppy for my taste.
