We liked this place a lot. Even without that awesome doggie out front, 't Smalle would still make my list of favourites.

It was getting cold, so we moved inside, where it turned out Tim and Beth were waiting for us upstairs. Worst case of stair-blocking ever was going on by a group of oblivious, local, baby-boomers.

I drank a De Koninck, an amber from Belgium. There were three little boys sitting at a table nearby, which we thought was pretty cool. We couldn't tell if they were waiting for their parents downstairs, or were related to the owners.

This place was the coolest that we visited in Amsterdam. Although I remember feeling really sleepy while we were there. Wonder why that was? Probably had nothing to do with the cake I had just eaten. Nothing at all.
