Boasting one of the more impressive exteriors of any pub in the city, the Tolbooth Tavern is the last pub on the Royal Mile before Holyrood. Given its location, there were quite a few tourists, and the beer selection could have been better (I had to settle for a Deuchars), but the service was excellent and the atmosphere quite inviting.
