#253. Thomsons Bar, 182-184 Morrison St, Edinburgh

These two guys sitting next to us would break out into song. It was pleasant - old folk songs, well sung. But then the bartender came over and told them they had to stop, as someone had complained and I guess the pub has a strict "no singing" policy. Weird.

The beer selection was good, keeping with the pub's claim of being a free house. I drank an Avalanche Ale from Fyne.

The pub has to have an entertainment license (as well as the alcohol license) if they are permitting singing on the premises.
